Work Program & Volunteer Participation: Ensuring Compliance and Supporting Mental Health

Welcome to our Work Program and Volunteer Information section. Here, we outline how you can contribute meaningful volunteer hours that meet SNAP’s 80-hour work requirements. As a volunteer in the role of a Quality Assurance and Compliance Technician, you’ll be helping us keep our platform in top shape.

Why Your Role Matters:
The platform you'll be working on is LifeRoute, a non-therapeutic digital life-skills training system designed to help people build emotional strength, self-control, and independence. LifeRoute was born from a simple truth: life doesn’t come with a manual. We offer an evidence-informed system that helps individuals navigate real-life challenges—whether that’s dealing with mental health, school pressures, family issues, or personal growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:
In your volunteer role, you'll be assigned a particular section of the LifeRoute platform each month. This might be a section dedicated to student mental health resources, skill-building programs, or other personal development content. Your job is to ensure that your assigned section is always up and running correctly, compliant with guidelines, and providing accurate information.

How It Works:
You’ll volunteer for 80 hours a month, and each month you’ll rotate to a new section. We keep detailed logs of your activities, including your login times and the tasks you perform. This allows us to verify your hours and ensure you meet SNAP’s requirements.

Supporting a Bigger Mission:
By volunteering, you’re not just fulfilling a requirement—you’re contributing to a platform that helps people who feel stuck or overwhelmed gain confidence and independence. LifeRoute is all about real-life skills and personal growth, and your role ensures that our content is accurate, accessible, and always available to those who need it most.

How Your Time Is Tracked and Verified

As a Quality Assurance and Compliance volunteer, your time on the platform is carefully tracked so we can verify your hours and ensure everything is working smoothly. Here’s how it works:

Detailed Activity Reporting:
We’ve set up a special “User Activity & Active Time” report that captures more than just your logins. Every time you’re active on the site, the system records the total amount of time you spend and the pages or sections you visit. For example, if you’re assigned to check the Student Mental Health section this month, the report will show how many hours you were actively working there and which URLs you viewed.

Meeting Your Hour Requirements:
To stay compliant with SNAP’s 80-hour work program, you need to complete at least 20 active hours per week and 80 active hours per month. Our reports page automatically calculates this for each user. You’ll see a summary of your total hours for the current week and month, along with a history of the pages you visited.

How We Use This Data:
This tracking helps us ensure that everyone is meeting their volunteer commitments and that the platform remains in top shape. We also added a “Print PDF” button so we can generate a clean report for management and easily verify your hours. You can filter reports by date range, username, or role to see who’s meeting their requirements.

Why It Matters:
Your work is crucial because LifeRoute supports people dealing with real-life challenges, from mental health to personal growth. By helping us maintain compliance and quality, you’re making a real difference.
